Streaks (Part Two)

Ace has always had a way of talking to us. On Friday, April 27th, 2018, Ace told us his work here is done. For over a decade Ace would officially start the day by retrieving the morning newspaper. The ritual has been steadfast, though its textures have changed through the years. But on this morning he took a look around and came back inside, leaving the newspaper still life at the end of the driveway.

He passed on the next day, leaving this world at 2:08 PM on April 28th.

If anyone doubts that all God’s creatures have a connection with the infinite, His presence and love, then consider that Ace’s life, his 11 years on this earth, can be summed in two glorious deeds: He gave his family and those who knew him more than he ever received. And left this home and his family better than he found it.

Rest in peace, Ace.
